The Collin College Bond will not increase your tax rate. Proposition A is structured to maintain the college’s current tax rate of $0.08122 per $100 valuation, which has remained unchanged since 2018, while investing in our community’s workforce and future.
THIS IS A TAX INCREASE; the issuance of $600,000,000 in bonds for college facilities used for workforce training, career and technical education, and academic instruction, and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay the principal and interest on the bonds.
Texas law requires this wording on local bond propositions. Proposition A is structured to maintain Collin College’s current tax rate, with no anticipated tax rate increase for Collin County taxpayers.

Collin College’s Master Plan moves forward in phases. Phase I addressed our most urgent, immediate facility needs and is nearing completion. Proposition A completes the plan by funding Phases II and III, the larger investments that expand access and training capacity across the county.
Most Phase I projects are complete, with the remaining projects scheduled for completion in 2027.
Bond 2026 funds Phases II and III of Destination 2030, expanding educational access in fast-growing communities, increasing capacity in high-demand workforce and academic programs, and modernizing existing facilities.
Proposition A brings new construction and workforce training to nine communities across Collin County: Allen, Anna, Celina, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Royse City, and Wylie.
